Today's activities

I spent the morning today SLOWLY advancing towards my goal of learning to fly. FIRST I Googled airplanes. My intent being to search withing results and start researching what type of airplane I want to someday build. I got a little side tracked though when I saw a "How It Works" article on how airplanes worked. I followed the link to see if there was anything there I had not yet seen hoping to find out some NEW information. Although I would change a small portion of the grammar and some basic scientific explanations, it was an OK elementary article. It even had a theory of flight that I have never heard of until I read the article so I DID learn something NEW, COOL. During the course of reading these article pages I found several other links to other sites which may become invaluable during my QUEST to build an airplane and learn to fly. One such link is to a Web site designed to simply walk you through the steps of becoming a pilot. It is produced by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) which is an organization I heard about before, am not currently associated with, but intend to join in the near future. I also got off track and followed this link http://www.homemadeenergy.org/?hop=cyprusmete which has little if anything to do with flying BUT might be something I can do on the financial front to help FUND further endeavors with my dream of flying, since the BIGGEST obstacle to getting anywhere on this program right now seems to be the funding of it! I feel like progress has been made today already and so I stopped by to let you know about it. I'm gonna eat now and then get back to my original goal of deciding on a list of airplanes I would like to build, and if I get that accomplished then I'll come back and update this Blog on the progress.
